I founded Kelsid Closet in July of 2015 out of Los Angeles, CA. It was the summer entering my Junior year of high school and I sought a way to resell my outgrown clothes and shoes. My business began modestly as a Poshmark account and I initially didn’t have my own car to drop off shipments. I’d hurriedly walk my packages to the postoffice after school; scrambling to make it before they closed. Though this was physically tiring, experiencing my first feeling of economic freedom jolted awake my entrepreneurial spirit. 

When I went away to college in the fall of 2017, I put my Poshmark account on the side. Nevertheless, fast-forward to 2020 when covid emerged; my studies were halted so I reopened my shop. 

Since reopening, I have amassed over 73 thousand followers on Poshmark and earned the highest seller status of Ambassador Tier II (gold). I attribute my success to upholding a high-quality standard of product and service. With thousands of sold listings and a 4.9/5 average rating (900+ real human reviews), I have built a credible operation; but decided the next step was to establish my own website.
